Sure Straight Screw System
Sure Straight Screw System
Weather Tight siding is installed with screws rather than nails. This ensures a secure installation and eliminates the concern of blown off siding, which can happen with strong winds. With your siding screwed on using this system, it can resist winds of 270 miles per hour.
Warp-Free Installation
Ever see a home that looks like the picture to the left? This is caused by imperfections in the installation of the siding. When vinyl siding is nailed onto the home, each nail placement must be perfect to make sure the siding can properly expand and contract. To avoid the warping and wavy look with vinyl siding it must be installed properly. There are several things that constitute a correct installation.
- The nail must be in the exact center of the nailing hem nail hole
- There must be 1/32” of a gap (the thickness of a dime) between the siding and the house
If this is not completed properly each time a nail is driven into the siding (even if it is placed slightly to the left or right), then warping can occur. Considering the average siding project requires this process to be completed perfectly 2500 times, mistakes are bound to happen. So as a homeowner, how can you rest assured that this will not happen to your siding? Install Weather Tight siding and relax, worry-free!
Guide-Lock Attachment System
The Guide-Lock Attachment System uses screws rather than nails. Ferrule studs are placed every four inches, ensuring proper placement of the screws. When the screws are fastened through these studs, they are placed in the perfect position, not too far to the left or right. The screws will not be fastened with the wrong angle, like nails can be. The attachment strip is attached to the wall ensuring the proper spacing is provided allowing contraction and expansion of the siding.
