“Kids don’t stay with you if you do it right. It’s the one job where, the better you are, the more surely you won’t be needed in the long run.” —Barbara Kingsolver
Mother’s Day is a day in which we celebrate the moms in our lives. Mother’s Day is an ode to the strength, courage, resilience, & the deep love within the women who gave life to us. Weather Tight Corporation wanted to take a moment to wish each & every mom (whether it is by birth, adoption, or just a role in another individuals lives) out there a very Happy Mother’s Day. We know just how hard being a mom can be, though this task does not go unnoticed.
Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 13th 2018
In honorable fashion, May 13th is a day dedicated to the appreciation we have for our mothers intangible compassion & her uncompromising tenderness. Weather Tight Corporation is blessed to employ & work with moms of every generation, myself included. Some of these women are mothers to just one & some to many. To those who are grandmothers, aunts, friends, relatives, Godmothers, & to those whom are adoptive mothers or temporary guardians who are in the role of a mother, this role is one that molds the lives in which it touches, it leaves its mark & that mark makes us who we are today.
This day allows us to pause in the moment & reflect on all that our mothers have done for us as well as what has been endured on the journey. As a mother myself- I cannot stress how truly complex this job is. It is a job that requires NO experience, but demands long & arduous hours of work. Yet a mother finds the energy to carry on through the day & even longer nights to make sure that her loved ones are cared for. That in & of itself, is a true testament to the poise & dedication of our mothers.
Moms have Super Powers
Weather Tight wants you to know that we see your love shining through & we are truly blessed for all that you do for those who you love. You hold your composure through all the trials & tribulations & come out with a smile beaming luminously from your eyes. Some days I am unsure how mothers do it, myself included. But – it is with gratitude that we tell you that you are loved & you are appreciated. We also need to give love to those who have lost their mother’s or the individual who played the role as their mother—as today is a celebration of their love, support, and guidance.
Thank you, Mom! (& don’t worry Dad, your day is coming too!)
